This is a copy of the email i sent to all honours students as the new honours rep:
Ahoy all,
I'm Jeremy Reynolds, and I spoke to everyone last friday after our presentations about Honours student representation for Bambii (Biochemistry And Molecular Biology... somethIng somethIng)... the post grad biochemistry student association. As honours students we're automatically given membership.
Check out www.bambii.org, and sign onto the forum as a member.
Myself and Cheryl (we're both on Level 3 in Bio21) have been made honours rep, but that doesnt mean you can't apply for another position. The Bambii committee guys said its possible to have many reps. If all 30 people wanted to become a rep we'd have to elect a "first" among us.
Anyways.
Bambii will eventually run a barbeque for us, and they have other social events like bowling and trivia etc.
I'd also like to promote our pub night at the Redback every friday night (ala Jeremy Lee's email, see below).
One of my ideas include a club night... i work at Motel nightclub and im gonna ask (beg) the owners to sponser us. That may include guaranteed entry, and drink cards. MAYBE. Just an idea.
If you have any ideas yourself come check either myself or Cheryl out on Level 3 and chat to us. Or send us an email.
So yeah, good luck with the assignment for Friday, and for the whole year.
